The axis that the plot of the movie centers around is Connor Mead, a pro photographer. He wants his women to be beautiful in look and easy in deal but not too much clinging. Having learnt the tactics of photography from his playboy uncle, he is no mood to settle down at a place. Connor is among the guys who intend to have no change. In this cinematic version of A Christmas Carol, Connor prances through the corridors of his past life, keep watch on the present and take a peek into what the future has for him in the offing if he makes no alteration to his ways. All this follows after he feeds his baby brother on one of the worst dinner toasts. Uncle Wayne remains a party animal from cover to cover. He never finds his love and dies a lonely man at last. Wayne does not want his nephew to embrace the same fate. He makes sure to leave no stone unturned to make Connor fall in love and romance.
Matthew McConaughey and Emma Stone lead the cast of this romantic blockbuster. With a good share of romantic comedies in his bag, Matthew McConaughey gets easily into shape with the character who steps outside the cookie cutter mold to be in relationship. A veteran of the comic genre, Jennifer Garner is a perfect match to McConaughey. Both actors smartly fit in the roles of their own. They share the screen space with awesome chemistry. The supporting cast consists of Breckin Meyer playing monogamist brother to McConaughey, Lacey Chabert playing bride to Meyer and Noureen DeWulf playing patient to Connor. Emma Watson who plays the Ghost of Girlfriends steals the show with audience.
